Perspective Photo & Video

Last updated: August 2026

These Terms & Conditions set out the basis on which Perspective Photo & Video provides photography, videography and related visual content services to clients.

By booking our services, requesting a quotation, accepting a quotation or instructing us to undertake work, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. About Us

Perspective Photo & Video provides professional photography, videography and related visual content services for businesses, organisations and individuals.

For enquiries regarding these Terms & Conditions, please contact:

2. Quotations and Bookings

All quotations are provided based on the information available to us at the time of preparing the quotation.

A quotation is normally valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

A booking is only confirmed once the client has accepted the quotation or proposal and any required booking fee or deposit has been received.

We reserve the right to decline a booking at our discretion.

Any changes to the agreed brief, location, duration, number of photographs, video requirements, personnel, equipment or other services may result in an adjustment to the quoted price.

3. Fees and Payment

The agreed quotation will specify the applicable fees and payment schedule.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, a booking fee or deposit may be required to secure the booking date.

The remaining balance is payable in accordance with the agreed payment terms.

Where an invoice becomes overdue, we reserve the right to suspend further work or withhold delivery of final materials until payment has been received.

Additional work requested by the client outside the original agreed brief may be charged separately.

4. Cancellation and Rescheduling

We understand that circumstances can change. Clients should contact us as soon as possible if they need to cancel or reschedule a booking.

Any cancellation charges or refund arrangements will depend on the nature of the commission, the notice provided and any costs or commitments already incurred.

Where a booking date has been reserved specifically for a client, the booking fee or deposit may be non-refundable because it compensates for reserving that date and declining other work.

Where possible, we will work with the client to reschedule a booking.

5. Weather and Circumstances Beyond Our Control

Certain photography and videography assignments may depend on weather, lighting, access or other circumstances outside our control.

Where weather or circumstances make the planned work impractical or unsafe, we will discuss reasonable alternatives with the client, which may include rescheduling.

We will not be responsible for delays, cancellation or failure to perform caused by circumstances reasonably beyond our control, including severe weather, illness, transport disruption, venue restrictions, equipment failure, power failure, government restrictions or other unforeseen events.

Where reasonably possible, we will seek to provide an alternative solution.

6. The Client’s Responsibilities

The client is responsible for providing accurate information about the project and ensuring that we have appropriate access to locations, people, products and other materials required to complete the work.

The client must obtain any permissions, licences, location access, model releases or other permissions that are their responsibility unless these have specifically been agreed as part of our services.

The client is also responsible for ensuring that products, premises or people made available for photography or filming are ready at the agreed time.

Delays caused by the client or third parties may reduce the available shooting time and may result in additional charges where additional time is required.

7. Creative Direction

Photography and videography involve creative judgement. We will work with the client to understand the agreed brief and deliver work consistent with that brief.

Minor differences between the client’s expectations and the final creative result do not constitute a failure to provide the service where the work reasonably reflects the agreed brief.

Where the client requests significant changes to the agreed creative direction after work has commenced, additional charges may apply.

8. Editing and Retouching

Our services may include editing, colour correction, image selection, retouching, grading and other post-production work as agreed.

The extent of editing and retouching will depend on the service commissioned.

Unless specifically agreed otherwise, we retain creative discretion over the final selection and treatment of photographs and video.

Raw or unedited files are not normally supplied unless specifically agreed in writing.

9. Delivery

We will aim to deliver completed photography and video within the timescale agreed with the client.

Delivery times may vary depending on the size and complexity of the project.

Where a project requires client approval, feedback or the supply of materials, the delivery schedule may be affected by delays in receiving those items.

10. Copyright and Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, copyright in photographs, video footage and other original creative work remains with Perspective Photo & Video.

The client receives the usage rights specified in the quotation, proposal, licence or other written agreement.

Payment of an invoice does not automatically transfer copyright ownership to the client.

Where the client requires exclusive rights, copyright transfer, extended licensing or unrestricted commercial usage, this must be agreed in writing and may incur an additional fee.

The client must not reproduce, sell, licence, alter or distribute the work beyond the agreed usage rights without our written permission.

11. Portfolio and Promotional Use

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, we reserve the right to use completed photography and video created for a client in our portfolio, website, social media, promotional material, awards submissions and other self-promotional activities.

Where a project is confidential, embargoed or commercially sensitive, the client should inform us before the work begins so that appropriate restrictions can be agreed.

12. Client-Supplied Materials

Where the client supplies logos, photographs, music, video, artwork, text or other material for use in a project, the client confirms that they have the necessary rights and permissions to provide and use those materials.

The client is responsible for any claims arising from materials supplied by them.

13. Music, Stock Material and Third-Party Content

Where a project requires music, stock footage, graphics, fonts or other third-party material, the applicable licence or usage restrictions will apply.

Where third-party content is purchased specifically for a project, the cost may be charged to the client unless already included in the quotation.

14. Equipment and Data

We take reasonable precautions to protect photographic and video files and use appropriate professional practices for storing and backing up project data.

However, no digital storage system can be guaranteed to be completely immune from loss, corruption or technical failure.

We therefore recommend that clients retain copies of all delivered files.

Unless otherwise agreed, we are not obliged to retain project files indefinitely after final delivery.

15. Confidentiality

We will treat commercially sensitive information provided by the client as confidential and will not knowingly disclose such information to third parties except where necessary to provide the agreed services or where required by law.

Clients should identify any specific confidentiality, embargo or non-disclosure requirements before work begins.

16. Liability

We will provide our services with reasonable skill and care.

To the extent permitted by law, our liability arising from a project will be limited to the fees paid or payable for the relevant services, except where such limitation is prohibited by law.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

17. Force Majeure

We will not be liable for failure or delay in performing our obligations where this results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Where such circumstances occur, we will communicate with the client as soon as reasonably practicable and seek to agree an appropriate alternative arrangement.

18. Complaints

If you have any concern about our services, please contact us as soon as possible at:

info@perspectivephotovideo.com

We will make reasonable efforts to investigate and resolve complaints fairly and promptly.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The version applicable to a particular booking will normally be the version in effect when the booking is accepted, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

20. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
